Shelley passed peacefully at Riverview Health Centre, surrounded by her devoted husband, Wesley, and beloved son, Riley. Her strength, resilience, and unwavering spirit touched all who knew her. Even through her battle with cancer, she remained an inspiring beacon of hope.
A proud 1995 nursing graduate, Shelley’s career spanned Victoria Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, and Concordia Hospital, where she served as a Clinical Resource Nurse in Orthopaedics from 2002 to 2024.
Her passion for care extended globally—volunteering in Guatemala and Nicaragua led her to play a pivotal role in establishing Operation Walk Manitoba. From its beginnings, she worked tirelessly to expand its mission, bringing life-changing surgeries to those in need.
Beyond her profession, Shelley embraced life with boundless energy. Whether running marathons, hiking, kayaking, or walking with her beloved dog, Quinn, she found joy in the outdoors. Her love for adventure, animals, and nature was infectious.
Shelley’s impact lives on through her family, her work, and the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
